BBC One has commissioned The People's Strictly, a ballroom competition that will raise money for Comic Relief in the run-up to Red Nose Day in March 2015.

Everyday heroes and heroines nominated by their friends and family will pair up with Strictly Come Dancing professionals to perform in a show presented by Strictly hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman and judged by the Strictly judges. Kevin Cahill, Chief Executive at Comic Relief, commented 'Having watched well-known faces go through the heart-warming journey on Strictly I can't wait to see members of the public having this amazing opportunity'.
